The Bahá'í Faith is unique in many ways. Not only did the Prophet-Founder, Bahá'u'lláh, teach us to read Sacred Writings from ALL of the World Religions, He also revealed Sacred Scripture Himself, which adds up to over 100 volumes.

There are many books available, in libraries, bookstores, from the Bahá'í Publishing Trusts and from individuals, in many different languages - Bahá'í literature has been translated into over 800... Also, many books are available in a digital format over the Internet! The first places to look for links are these two massive sites:

"Immerse yourselves in the ocean of My words, that ye may unravel its secrets, and discover all the
pearls of wisdom that lie hid in its depths."
-Bahá'u'lláh- [from Gleanings, LXX, Page: 136]

FROM THE WRITINGS OF BAHÁ'U'LLÁH

"I bear witness, O my God, that Thou hast created me to know Thee and to worship Thee. I testify at thi smoment to my powerlessness and to Thy Might, to my poverty and to Thy Wealth. There is no other God but Thee, the Help in Peril, the Self-Subsisting."
[Short Obligatory Prayer]

"I am the Sun of Wisdom and the Ocean of Knowledge. I cheer the faint and revive the dead. I am the guiding Light that illumineth the way. I am the royal Falcon on the arm of the Almighty. I unfold the drooping wings of every broken bird and start it on its flight."
[Tablets of Bahá'u'lláh Revealed After the Kitáb-i-Aqdas, p. 170]

"This is the Day whereon the Ocean of God's mercy hath been manifested unto men, … the Day in which the clouds of His bountiful favor have overshadowed the whole of mankind."
[Gleanings, page 7]

"This most great, this fathomless and surging Ocean is near, astonishingly near, unto you. Behold it is closer to you than your life-vein! Swift as the twinkling of an eye ye can, if ye but wish it, reach and partake of this imperishable favor, this God-given grace, this incorruptible gift, this most potent and unspeakably glorious bounty."
[Gleanings, page 326]

"O Son of Spirit!
My first counsel is this: Possess a pure, kindly and radiant heart, that thine may be a sovereignty, ancient, imperishable and everlasting."
[Hidden Words no. 1 (Arabic)]

"Thou didst shed the splendor of the glory Thy names upon all created things. Great is his blessedness whosoever hath set himself towards Thee, and entered Thy presence, and caught the accents of Thy voice. I beseech Thee, O my Lord, by the name of Him round Whom circleth in adoration the kingdom of Thy names, that Thou wilt graciously assist them that are dear to Thee to glorify Thy word among Thy servants, and to shed abroad Thy praise amidst Thy creatures, so that the ecstasies of Thy revelation may fill the souls of all the dwellers of Thine earth."
[From "Baha'i Prayers", Teaching: "Magnified be Thy name, O my God..."]

"A drop of the billowing ocean of His endless mercy hath adorned all creation with the ornament of existence, and a breath wafted from His peerless Paradise hath invested all beings with the robe of His sanctity and glory.  A sprinkling from the unfathomed deep of His sovereign and all-pervasive Will hath, out of utter nothingness, called into being a creation which is infinite in its range and deathless in its duration. The wonders of His bounty can never cease, and the stream of His merciful grace can never be arrested. The process of His creation hath had no beginning, and can have no end."
[Gleanings, Page: 61]

FROM THE WRITINGS OF 'ABDU'L-BAHÁ

"It must not be implied that one should give up avocation and attainment to livelihood. On the contrary, in the Cause of
Baha'u'llah monasticism and asceticism are not sanctioned. In this great Cause the light of guidance is shining and radiant. Baha'u'llah has even said that occupation and labor are devotion. All humanity must obtain a livelihood by sweat of the brow and bodily exertion, at the same time seeking to lift the burden of others, striving to be the source of comfort to souls and facilitating the means of living. This in itself is devotion to God. Baha'u'llah has thereby encouraged action and stimulated service. But the energies of the heart must not be attached to these things; the soul must not be completely occupied with them. Though the mind is busy, the heart must be attracted toward the Kingdom of God in order that the virtues of humanity may be attained from every direction and source."
[Promulgation of Universal Peace p 187

"Although to acquire the sciences and arts is the greatest glory of mankind, this is so only on condition that man's river flow into the mighty sea, and draw from God's ancient source His inspiration. When this cometh to pass, then every teacher is as a shoreless ocean, every pupil a prodigal fountain of knowledge. If, then, the pursuit of knowledge lead to the beauty of Him Who is the Object of all Knowledge, how excellent that goal..."

[Selections from the Writings of `Abdu'l-Bahá, p110]

O God! O God! Thou seest my weakness, lowliness and humility amongst Thy creatures; nevertheless I have trusted on Thee and have arisen in the promotion of Thy Teachings amongst Thy strong servants, relying on Thy power and might!
O Lord! I am a broken-winged bird and desire to soar in this Thy space to which there is no limit. How is it possible for me to do this save through Thy providence and grace, Thy confirmation and assistance! O Lord! Have pity on my weakness and strengthen me with Thy power! O Lord! Have pity on my impotency and assist me with Thy might and majesty!
